Day 1 | Arrive in Los Angeles late afternoon and check into your hotel in the South Bay area. |

Day 2 | Go to the famous neighborhoods of Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Tour the neighborhood of the rich and famous as you look for your favorite stars' homes. In Hollywood walk the boulevard of the stars and shop for souvenirs. |

Day 3 | Today is "check out the people" day at some of the wonderful beaches that make southern California so popular. First stop is wacky Venice Beach. Want your picture taken with a Martian? Can you roller skate while playing a guitar? Then go to hip Santa Monica for lunch. You might get to see dogs roller blade or other street shows. End the day at Santa Monica pier. Ride the ferris wheel over the water, try the bumper cars or other rides. If time permits we'll go to nearby Malibu for more great sun and beach. |

Day 4 | Today we'll tour Le Brea Tar Pits and museum. During the Ice Age mammoths, mastodons, saber-toothed cats, dire wolves and giant ground sloths became trapped and died in the sticky tar, leaving behind their fossilized remains. Don't fall in! Next stop is lovely Pasadena,best known for the Tournament of Roses Parade. You'll explore the city's distinctive neighborhoods, and explore the popular shops and restaurants in this lovely city. |

Day 5 | Today cruise on the ferry from San Pedro to beautiful Catalina Island, a Pacific island off the coast of southern California. On the island is the idyllic town of Avalon, with a nice beach and quaint downtown. On the return we may stop at Redondo Beach to enjoy the amusements and food at the pier. |

Day 6 | Today is shopping and tasting day! Explore neighborhoods like Koreatown, Chinatown, and the downtown Mexican shopping area (great prices!), Thai town, or Little India. Time permitting, we may watch all the ships at busy Long Beach. |

Day 7 | Pack it up and say good-bye to all your new friends as you depart about mid-day for home. |
